Acolytes assist the clergy during worship, lead processions, carry crosses, and assist with the preparation and distribution of communion. 

Larry Gibson, Justin Gibson, Sharon Jacobs, and Bill Zeller enhance the worship service to help glorify God.  

 The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing and caring for the sanctuary to celebrate Holy Eucharist and other services in order and beauty. Nancy Sprouse ensures the altar is clean, properly set, and decorated appropriately for each service. 

The Bell Ringer calls people to St. John's worship service by ringing the steeple bell 10 times at 10 a.m. Leroy Wood is the current bell ringer.

Crucifers carry the processional cross during processions like the entrance, Gospel, and recessional, symbolizing the presence of Christ. Larry Gibson, Justin Gibson, Sharon Jacobs, and Bill Zeller alternate every Sunday taking on the role of the crucifer.

 Lectors are responsible for reading the selections from Holy Scripture and lead the prayers of the people during our worship service. Our current lectors include Carlton Dickerson, Bernard Dukes, Larry Gibson, Justin Gibson, Bettie Hutcherson, Sharon Jacobs, John Miller, Sallie Spiller, Bill Zeller, and Ester Wood.

The Website and Social Media Managers regularly update and enhance content to ensure a vibrant online presence to engage with our community and reflect the mission and values of St. Johns. Jordan Sprouse manages our website and Facebook page, and Carolyn Miller creates posts on NextDoor. 

A heartfelt thank you to Father Tony, John Miller, and Leroy and Ester Wood for delivering our donations to The Haven and Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. 

We appreciate everyone who signs up to bring a sharable dish while enjoying good conversation with us after the service in the Parish Hall. A special thank you to Leroy and Ester Wood for providing the coffee, Coffee-Mate, water, and lemonade.
