Tony was born in Youngstown, Ohio, is a devoted Episcopal priest with a rich legacy of service. After graduating from DePauw University, he entered Virginia Theological Seminary and was ordained. He began his ministry in Cleveland, Ohio, serving inner-city parishes while also earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. He then became rector of St. Christopher’s in Carmel, Indiana, growing the congregation and leading major expansions over 24 years. Retirement in 2000 to Afton, Virginia was brief—he served 17 years at Holy Cross in Batesville, and later accepted a call to St. John's in 2019, after also serving in the Virgin Islands in 2018.

Tony and his wife, Emily Lewis, are passionate travelers, hikers, and community volunteers. They cherish their periodic spiritual retreats at the Monastery of Christ in the Desert and find joy in books, music, poetry, and serving others wherever they are called.
